Let us speed up your WordPress website for You

No one likes a website that takes time to load – not users and surely, not Google or any other search engine. If you’re dependent on Google to bring traffic to your site, it’s extremely important that your website loads blazing fast. Here’s how you can benefit from a fast loading WordPress website:

  • It’ll fetch a higher ranking in Google search results.
  • It increases your conversions.
  • Fast websites also translate into longer user engagement time.

Why is speed such a big deal for your WordPress website (and any other website)? Well, Google’s guiding principle while ranking websites is to direct visitors to websites that offer a great User Experience. And Google counts site loading speed as a major factor contributing to positive User Experience.

So how fast is fast-loading? While there’s no fixed benchmark, it’s ideal if a website loads instantly, with no wait time at all.

Take a quick test to check how fast your website is. We’re guessing that your test result leaves room for improvement.

We can step up site speed by identifying and removing bottlenecks and carrying out a number of optimization measures. We are confident of the positive impact these measures will collectively have on your site’s speed.

Tools To Measure your WordPress Speed

Google Mobile PageSpeed and WebPageTest, both supported by Google, are the tools we use to measure website speed:

Google’s Mobile PageSpeed runs a check on your site and generates a report of your site’s performance parameters on different devices. It also recommends what you can do to improve site speed. You should use your judgement, and implement those suggestions that’ll work for your site without sacrificing features that are important to your site.

WebPageTest also tests your website for speed from multiple locations and browsers. You can opt for a simple test or call up the detailed diagnostic report that identifies areas of improvement.

What do you get?

Leverage browser caching

Caching has a great impact on site speed. Recently called-up web pages are saved in a cache. These pages are served up faster when requested a second time, as all the site content don’t have to be loaded again from WordPress. We’ll use a WordPress caching extension and fine tune it based on your Website and Hosting Needs.

Combining CSS and JS

CSS files can be combined to reduce the number of roundtrips between the user’s browser and your server. JS files can be deferred and configured to load asynchronously.

Removing query strings from static resources

URLs with “?” and “&” are not cached by some proxy servers. These query strings are removed from static resources to improve speed.

Identify Slow Plugins

While plugins add awesome functionalities to websites, some plugins can also slow down your website. We’ll identify plugins that are a drag on site speed, and suggest alternate plugins / few lines of code that can execute the same functions.

Remove any bad requests

Resources that have been moved or no longer exist on your site need to be deleted. Otherwise, visitors following broken links to your site will not reach there while the site will need longer time to fully load.

Implemented gzip compression.

Files can be compressed to enable faster transfer to browsers (GZip compression). Gzip is a method of compressing files (making them smaller) for faster network transfers.

HTML Minifying

HTML files are often bloated with comments, white spaces and unnecessary tags. Eliminating these elements improves site speed.

Image Optimization

Images are byte heavy and occupy a large amount of space. Compressing images using compression tools improves site speed significantly.

.htaccess optimization

These optimizations are carried out within the .htaccess file. 1) Creating Expire Headers will instruct the browser on how long the content should be kept in the cache. 3) Match Entity Tags between servers in websites that operate from a cluster of servers. This ensures that visitors receive the latest version of the resources, without it being sent all over again.

Reduce total page size

Beside site wide optimization, we’ll also look at your most important pages and optimize each of them for speed.

What result will you have?

  • Optimized WordPress website.
  • Faster loading.
  • Higher conversion rate.
  • Good search engine ranking.
